| Message: | | Just finished some tweaking and greatly benefitted from putting some 1/2" pipe insulation around the mating surfaces of the sub box where they mate with the seatback. This entirely baffled the box from the trunk.
I also increased the gains from the PPI LL converter to the rear speakers and this increased the signal to the sub amp as it was getting a combined sig from f/r. I do have some sub action w/ the HU volume at zero, tho. A reasonable trade-off given the overwhelming increase in tightness and substance at lower listening volumes.
Result: hard-hitting, tight bass that will move your pantlegs and massage your back. The sub stage seems a little to the rear, but (I guess) this is to be expected from firing the damned thing thru the ski hatch. Maybe some 6"'s in the doors????
