| Message: | | the sunroof made a god-awful crunching sound followed by a horriffic snap...I'm 99.999999% sure something snapped, big time.
As for the sub, I'm not entirely pleased w/ the low volume response. The gain on the amp is at 100% and getting sent around 250hz and below (not sure of exact xover setting). There's 375 watts going to the 10W6 and it is completely baffled from trunk space. Box has a 'slight' airleak (I push the woofer in and it takes about 5 seconds for it to come back out). I just did the t-nuts cw spoke of (no wood screws) but still have this slight leak...wondering if I need to cut carpet away from mounting surface so the sub is mounting directly to the wood. I also just ran the wire from other output on amp to second voice coil (getting the parallel accomplished in the amp vice parallel on the speaker for a 3 ohm load). Bass at high volume is perfect and nearly unbearable but at low volumes is nonexistent. Unsure if this is a power issue, a sub quality issue, a box issue, or a head unit issue. What do you think??? ~John
