| Message: | | I thought that this was a pretty thoughtful and evenhanded review, even thought my personal preference lies in differnt direction from the conclusion MT reached. In general, they liked both cars. I thought that their comparison of the CTS-V to the M5 and the Jag to the Mercedes was insightful. Personally, I am on the V / M% side of the ledger. They liked the V. No bad things to say about it really except for the axel hop and the 5.1 0-60 time, which I suppose are related. I wonder if Cadillac has done anything about the axel hop since this issue is really the only big negative that has surfaced.
I have a V on order (supposed to be built this week) and I expect it to meet the Cadillac claim of 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. That is a representation that Cadillac needs to meet. Is is not simply marketing, it is a promise - part of their offer. I trust that they have figured out and resolved this problem before they resumed production after the first problem batch of 50 were produced. I supose that the car MT tested was also one of these 50 early problem chidren.
