Message: The SMG system is an electro-hydraulic mechanism that is attached to the transmission - not part of it. I believe it uses brake fluid - just like the clutch on a standard transmission. Brake fluid absorbs water over time and this can affect the boiling point of the fluid.

How long has it been since the fluids have been flushed? Have you specifically asked the the SMG fluid be flushed? I would start here.
