| Message: | Thanks in advance. I was at an autocross event today. Car is a 2002 SMG, with 30,000miles on it. First, the SMG icon lit up. Then, I noticed that at rest, it took a few tries to get it into first gear (I moved the selector to the right, and the display remained at "0". Then, during a run, in 3rd gear, it just went into neutral of its own accord. I quit racing, and afterwards, driving sedately along in third or fourth, the car would just go into neutral. After about five seconds, it would return to 3rd or 4th, of its own accord. My car has been VERY gently driven, apart from about 10 autocross days in its entire lifetime (about four, 120 second runs, at each event). When I turned the car off a couple of times, the SMG icon remained. I drove the car home (about an hour's trip), with no difficulties (icon still on), filled up with gas, and on restart, the icon has not returned. Thanks!!!!!! Can anyone help?? I am praying this isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg.
